Scholastic’s Half Term Bucket List

Hurrah – half term is almost upon us! A week without the school run. Time to down tools, get cosy, maybe watch some fireworks and get set for the Christmas term. We asked the mums and dads at Scholastic HQ what they’d be getting up to this half term and here’s what they said:

1. Stomp in leaves and make autumn crowns – collecting fallen leaves and sticking them to a band of cardboard has to be one of the easiest autumn activities. Read Time-to-Discover: Autumn to show your kids what else makes autumn special.

2. Master loom bands – it’s time to out-loom the children and master your own rubber band accessories!

3. Watch Frozen, again! – it’s been out for a year and we are STILL watching it!

4. See The Maze Runner – for older kids, The Maze Runner is a must-see at the cinema this half term.

5. Family Bake Off – who was the favourite in your house? Nancy, Richard or Luis?

6. Tom Gates inspired Doodle Day – pens at the ready!

7. Get stitching – we love a craft book, especially one that contains everything you need to get started. Try My Hootiful Owl Sewing Kit for hours of fun.

8. Swot up on maths – but have wicked fun at the same time!

Have a great half term!
