Frightful exhibition launched
20 May 2008
Imperial War Museum North, in Manchester, have joined forces with Scholastic Children’s Books to put together a unique exhibition marking 90 years since the end of the First World War.
The exhibition will bring together Imperial War Museum North’s unrivalled collection of WWI artefacts with words and images from Frightful First World War by Terry Deary and Martin Brown.
Frightful First World War is a hugely popular title in Scholastic’s Horrible Histories series and Imperial War Museum North have aimed to bring a truly horrible feel to their exhibition! Visitors will be able to smell the stench of the trenches, find out how scratchy those uniforms really were, and get the lowdown on some gruesome diseases.
Frightful First World War – The Exhibition opens on 24 May 2008. You can find out more at The Zone.
