Kids Lit Quiz 2008 Results

Arnold House School, London, triumphed over teams from across the world yesterday in the 2008 final of the Kids Lit Quiz.

Teams from China, New Zealand and South Africa were pitted against regional finalists from Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The international teams had already fought off the competition in regional heats and national finals.

The grand final, held in Oxford, was attended by 25 well-known children’s authors as well as over 500 schoolchildren from the Oxfordshire area. The teams, each consisting of four members aged 11- to 12-years-old, were set 100 questions about children’s literature by quizmaster Wayne Mills.

The final result was:
  1. Arnold House School, UK
  2. Truro School, England
  3. Whitchurch High School, Wales
  4. Cathedral Grammar School, Christchurch, New Zealand
