Reviews of the Month
Bit stuck?
Don’t worry - all you need to do is summarise your thoughts on a Scholastic book that you have read. Here are some tips and things to think about when writing your review:
- Start by putting the title of the book and the name of the author at the top so the person reading your review knows which book you are writing about.
- Write a sentence or two saying what the book is about so that people who haven’t read the book can get an idea of what it’s about.
- What did you like or dislike about the book?
- Is it funny, sad, scary…?
- Do you like the way the author tells the story and describes things?
- Make sure your review explains how you feel about the book and why, not just what the book is about.
- Do you like the cover of the book and the pictures inside (if there are any) ?
- Would you recommend the book to other people
