Interview with ICT with Mr P
What inspired you to start using social media?
I originally wanted to share my pupils’ work with the world and give them an audience for their learning. In sharing their work, I had teachers asking how it was done, which encouraged me to share ideas – and that really is what started it. It’s always been about helping people, either with classroom ideas or just sharing funny insights into life in the classroom, so teachers who have had a tough day can watch one and know they are not the only one that goes through the sort of struggle.
What is the best piece of teaching advice you have been given?
That there is no such thing as an outstanding teacher and that no one’s perfect. As long as you’re giving your very, very best on that given day, that’s all that can be asked.
