The winners of the Red House Book Award, the only national book award voted for entirely by children, were announced this week.

The Brilliant World of Tom Gates pipped Eva Ibbotson and Gill Lewis in the Younger Readers category, whilst Chris Wormell’s Scruffy Bear and the Six White Mice triumphed for Younger Children.
