Scholastic’s Alison Green highly commended at Bookseller Industry Awards

Scholastic UK is delighted to announce that Alison Green was highly commended for her Alison Green Books imprint at The Bookseller Industry Awards 2011 last night (16th May), in the Imprint and Editor of the Year category.

Scholastic UK is proud that Alison’s achievements as a Publisher at Scholastic have been recognised by the industry as outstanding.

Six years ago Alison Green set up her own imprint, Alison Green Books, as part of Scholastic Children’s Books, publishing picture and novelty books which are creative and fun. Alison has produced more than 30 picture and novelty books; including bestselling and award-winning titles by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.

Fleabag

Alison has worked with other authors including Helen Stephens, whose Fleabag was shortlisted for the Booktrust Best Picture Book for Children up to five-years-old category, as was her most recent book The Night Iceberg.; with David Wojtowycz, whose Elephant Joe is a Spaceman was shortlisted for the 2009 Roald Dahl Funniest Book for Aged Six and Under – and with Nick Sharratt, whose Octopus Socktopus was shortlisted for the 2009 Roald Dahl Funniest Book for Aged Six and Under. In addition, Alison has launched the career of Sharon Rentta, author and illustrator of A Day with the Animal Doctors, and now illustrator of One Dog and His Boy by Eva Ibbotson.
