Scholastic is the world’s largest publisher and distributor of children’s books, working with thousands of schools in the UK and Ireland every year to inspire children to read for pleasure. We create wonderful children’s books by authors and illustrators including Julia Donaldson, Axel Scheffler, Philip Pullman, Alesha Dixon, Liz Pichon, Terry Deary, Martin Brown and Benjamin Zephaniah across picture book, fiction and non-fiction areas. You will work alongside our creative teams that publish such brilliant series as Tom Gates, Horrible Histories, Hunger Games, Voices and Northern Lights as well as launching new and exciting books and series as part of a hugely creative team. Scholastic Children’s Publishing division are looking to fill their newly created Administrator role. We need someone who is highly organised, great at dealing with people and able to juggle deadlines, schedules, digital file management, archiving and various requests from all areas of the business.
You will be great at encouraging and facilitating work flow within the team in order to meet deadlines in a busy environment, whilst looking at developing and streamlining existing processes also. You will have great attention to detail and be the one who joins all the dots and ensures all processes are mapped and followed effectively.
