We’re looking for a highly organised, data-driven assistant to support a very busy team bringing books to millions of children both in schools and at home. About the Role
As a Product Assistant, you’ll be the first point of contact for our Clubs and Fairs buying team, ensuring everything runs smoothly from concept to delivery. You’ll manage Excel spreadsheets, proof content for both print and digital channels, and keep data accurate and up to date. You’ll coordinate across marketing, inventory, and operations to meet tight deadlines and deliver exceptional ranges for schools and families.
What makes this role unique? You’ll work directly with over 60 publishers, gaining insight into the industry that few others experience. From sourcing books and raising orders to managing relationships, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the product ranges that help children discover the joy of reading.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Supporting range planning and product updates across multiple channels
• Managing Excel spreadsheets and ensuring accurate product data
• Coordinating with marketing, inventory and operations
• Building and maintaining relationships with over 60 publishers
• Proofing print and online content with a sharp eye for detail
• Creating clear briefs for design and marketing teams
• Leading on departmental admin, diary management, and meeting organisation
• Keeping up to date on children’s trends across books, gaming, media and social media

What We’re Looking For
• Proven Excel skills and confidence with Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated, flexible, and a positive problem-solver
