The role comes with a high degree of autonomy, and you’ll hit the ground running, delivering multi-channel marketing activity for Scholastic Education as well as our International Book Clubs. You’ll be passionate about promoting a love of reading and getting books into children’s hands – whether they are just starting out with phonics or needing support at GCSE. You’ll be able to demonstrate that you’re ready to help grow our business by engaging and supporting teachers and parents in helping children develop the skills they need to become lifelong readers.
Your days will be full and varied with a wide variety of tasks to keep you busy.
• Develop and implement Scholastic Education’s marketing strategy alongside senior stakeholders, focusing on driving brand engagement through print, social media, email marketing and video content creation
• Proactively seek out new markets and audiences and connect with them
• Lead a small team of marketers to plan and execute campaigns to drive direct revenue and sales leads whilst being a stakeholder in the wider marketing team
• Ensure that all materials produced by internal and external teams are delivered on time, within budget and promote the brand and values of the business
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of campaigns, providing timely reports to the marketing team and senior stakeholders
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of market needs and challenges to generate customer-centric propositions
• Develop strategies to refine campaigns and future plans, utilising data, market research and competitor insights
You will be able to demonstrate:
• Practical experience of delivering successful multi-channel channel campaigns within a fast-paced organisation
• Excellent communication skills, and the ability to contribute to cross-functional teams at a senior level
• Understanding of the education landscape and schools market needs within and beyond the UK
• A flexible approach to working across long-term projects mixed with short deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Line management experience
