Scholastic is the world’s largest publisher and distributor of children’s books and is home to best-selling authors and illustrators such as Liz Pichon, Dara O’ Briain, Phillip Pullman, Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, as well as market leading brands including Horrible Histories, Captain Underpants and Pokemon.
We are looking to expand our list of freelance Production Consultants, and would welcome applications from those who have experience of working with either trade or education publishing companies.
Based at our London office you will be working within and providing support to our established Group Production team as they produce a wide range of trade, special sales and co-edition titles.
You will have had previous experience of working as part of a team and on individual projects. You will understand the processes involved in costing and scheduling a range of printed materials; and have experience of monitoring a title through acquisition, manufacturing and delivery.
You will be highly organized and able to communicate effectively with internal colleagues and external suppliers. Training and support will be given on Scholastic systems where needed, but you will already be proficient using Microsoft office. Knowledge of Adobe systems would be an advantage.
