LitPro Lexile Test
This computer-adaptive Lexile test is the most accurate way to measure a readers skill level as well as to match readers to text.
The literal comprehension questions are based on a bank of over 4000 carefully Lexile measured passages taken from real books. The first test starts with a question suitable for the child’s age which then get harder if answered correctly and easier if answered wrongly until their Lexile score is pinpointed.
Personalised book lists
Based on the pupil’s Lexile score and self-selected interests Literacy Pro™ will automatically recommend real books appropriate for their age within their Lexile range (50L above and 100L below the pupil’s lexile score), and that match their interests.

Diverse, quality eBooks
Literacy Pro’s™ eLibrary features thousands of high-interest fiction and non-fiction lexile levelled eBooks that are sourced from all over the world. These stories reflect varied backgrounds and cultures, with dozens of new books being added every month. Some titles have Read & Think activities and Interactive Read Alouds and many have book quizzes in Literacy Pro™.
Quizzes
Book comprehension quizzes consist of 10 multiple choice questions which are randomly selected from a bank of 30 questions (pupils can retake a test if they do not pass). Once a pupil passes the quiz they will earn points towards a certificate reward scheme and ‘bank’ the number of words read. Pupils can then choose another book from their recommended reading list and repeat the process.
Smart Search
Literacy Pro’s™ smart Search tool makes it easy to find and assign the right books to your pupils. You’ll find a variety of search filters, such as reading level, genre, interest categories, series, teaching focus, and more.
Reporting
Clear and easily accessible reporting at whole school, class and pupil level. The home dashboard provides an at-a-glance view of key performance metrics for teachers’ classes and the reports provide in-depth actionable data and alerts as well as clearly showing activity and progress for each pupil.
